Our story begins on the 10th of October, 1988, when Ted and Paul Faint first opened their doors as Statewide Motor Rewind Company Pty Ltd. In the decades to follow, the business grew from a small, father and son endeavour to become Electro Mechanical Repair WA, an industry-leading, ISO 9001-accredited company.
Over 33 years of operation and sustained growth, EMR has established itself as a respected leader in the refurbishment, rewind, overhaul and sale of a wide variety of rotating and fixed electrical equipment.
Our facility uses the most advanced tools and technology available, operated by a team of experienced, trade-qualified professionals.
Now with ISO 9001 certification and backed by EASA AR100 accreditation, EMR provides world class repairs utilising the latest labour-saving, semi-automatic machinery to complement our highly skilled workforce.
Built on a father’s tradition of exceptional customer service and exemplary craftsmanship, EMR only ever delivers quality. When Paul finished his electrical apprenticeship, Ted said, ‘You’re a tradesman now, son – do it once, do it well.’ This mantra has become the hallmark of the business and continues to be taught today.
We service a wide variety of businesses within Australia. Among our clients is WEG, a multinational leader in electric motors, generators, transformers, variable speed drives and coatings. With operations in over 20 countries, WEG provides electric engineering, power and automation technology to countless customers around the world. We are proud to be trusted with their technical work.
EMR is also an active member of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA). EASA is an international trade organisation operating in over 60 countries. Through its many engineering and educational programs, EASA keeps members up to date on materials, equipment and state-of-the-art technology.
Still privately owned and proudly family operated, EMR remains close to its roots while being able to expand and develop into a progressive, successful company. With alternative energy industries emerging and a new generation of skills underway, EMR is in prime position to keep current and future electrical equipment operating at high efficiency.
EMR – precision and reliability since 1988.
